The other day in clinicals we scanned a 78 year old woman who had fallen in her bathtub in July of 07. I hadn't seen her previous films so you can only imagine my jaw opening when her scout came up. Radiologist findings were "burst fracture at L2 with significant impingement upon the thecal sac". I hope this image shows up good so you can tell were the bone displacement is pressing on the cannal. This is not the actual image of the lady, but is similar.
